Clean room with everything needed for a one-night stay, and the heating was effectively managed with a fan heater. The spaciousness of the room and comfortable environment made for a pleasant experience. the restaurant was closed for dinner, limiting dining options nearby, and I had to leave before breakfast was served.

We loved our family trip here! The area is stunning, especially enjoying walks through Galloway with gorgeous views. The staff were friendly, and we appreciated the hearty Scottish breakfast each morning. There's plenty to explore nearby that kept us all busy.
My children wished for more entertainment options for families, like a play area.

Cozy and inviting bar area, unique local dining recommendations, community-oriented atmosphere
A makeover is long overdue!!! Worn carpets and furniture create an outdated vibe!!! the lack of proper storage for wet clothing is quite inconvenient for outdoor enthusiasts!!!

missingWrote a review on 07 Juldated decor
The hotel feels quite dated with worn carpets and old-style furnishings, which some might find charming while others could see as a drawback. Wi-Fi connectivity is hit or miss. you might find yourself struggling to get a reliable connection at times. The bathrooms could use some attention, as I found issues with water pressure and the shower not heating up properly. Lastly, there's a lack of evening dining options due to the restaurant being closed. that could leave you scrambling for food if you're not prepared.

Had a great time with friends! We explored Galloway, hiking trails and biking. Tried our luck at fishing. Breakfast was hearty and the staff really went above and beyond. Our room was clean and warm, perfect for our group. great views around the area for those who love the outdoors.
The room could use some updating, as the lights didn't work right and the bed wasn't the most comfortable. But it served our purpose well enough.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while attending a local festival and found my stay quite enjoyable overall. The staff were always friendly and offered assistance with my bags, which made a difference. I appreciated the stunning views of the hills from my room, and the breakfast was both tasty and efficiently served. the lack of reliable WiFi was a bit frustrating, but I managed to connect most of the time.

The room was spacious and quiet, perfect for a restful night's sleep. Everything we needed was there, including a fan heater because the central heating hadn't kicked in yet. The mattress was comfortable enough, and the shower had a nice, powerful flow. It did feel a little dated, but overall, it was cozy and warm. A solid choice for an overnight stay, especially in the off-season.

The staff here were like family, treating us like we mattered and even carried our bags to our room while we were at a wedding. The breakfast was a feast, just what I needed after a long night, nothing beats a hearty meal to start the day.
It wasn't inexpensive but still manageable for the comfort it offered.

Warm atmosphere with a hearty breakfast
I recently spent two nights at this charming hotel and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The staff treated us like family, going out of their way to ensure our needs were met, particularly during breakfast, where we were served a delightful full Scottish breakfast that was both hearty and satisfying. The bar area exuded a cozy vibe, making it a great spot to unwind. the room could use a bit more attention to detail in terms of decor.

We had a lovely stay, enjoying comfortable rooms and the convenience of a portable heater when it got chilly. There were great options to unwind, like the cozy lounge and the inviting garden area. Just a heads up, the restaurant is limited to breakfast, so plan your dinners accordingly! 😊
